Courtneylyn is a dedicated Mental Health Professional with a passion for helping the lost and broken find healing. With extensive experience mentoring at-risk families, supporting youth, and providing mental health services in her community, she blends trauma-informed care with a compassionate, relationship-driven approach. Driven by a heart for service, she equips those in need with hope and practical tools for lasting change.
Water has a unique and profound ability to heal, a truth Wesley and Debora Stewart have championed through their impactful nonprofit endeavors. Starting with Urban Surf for Kids, they harnessed the therapeutic properties of water to aid foster youth, offering them a sanctuary where they could find solace and build resilience. This initiative laid the foundation for their work, highlighting water’s role not just in physical well-being but in emotional and psychological healing.
Expanding upon this success, the Stewarts established Every Kid Swims, broadening the scope to reach more children in need of water therapy. Their latest project, 2 Walk on Water, takes this concept further by focusing on veterans, first responders, and others experiencing severe mental stress. This initiative underscores the Stewarts’ belief in water’s healing power, especially for those coping with trauma and seeking mental wellness.
At the heart of 2 Walk on Water is the understanding that water activities are more than physical exercises; they are a form of mental and emotional therapy. The organization’s programs are designed to alleviate stress, anxiety, and symptoms of PTSD, offering a tranquil and rejuvenating experience. Through their work, Wesley and Debora Stewart have become pioneers in using water therapy to foster healing and resilience, making a lasting impact on the lives of those who have faced life’s toughest challenges.
At 2 Walk on Water, we believe in empowering and serving those most in need. Our programs are designed to reach a wide array of
individuals, each facing their unique challenges. Here’s a look at the diverse groups we proudly work with:
We reach out to the homeless community with compassion and support, understanding that everyone deserves a chance for a better life.
Our programs offer them not just essential services but also a path to rediscovery and hope.
Our brave first responders and veterans have given so much in service to others. We offer them a space to unwind,
heal, and rejuvenate, recognizing their sacrifices and addressing their unique wellness needs.
Economic challenges shouldn’t be a barrier to wellness and growth. We provide accessible programs to those
facing financial hardships, helping them find strength and resilience amidst adversity.
Our commitment to racial and ethnic minorities is rooted in respect and inclusivity. We honor their unique cultures and
experiences, offering programs that are sensitive to their specific needs and histories.
Health and wellness care should be a right, not a privilege. For those without insurance, we provide
critical support, ensuring they have access to the therapeutic benefits of our programs.
Young people facing challenging circumstances need guidance and support. Our programs offer at-risk and foster
youth a nurturing environment where they can grow, learn, and envision a brighter future.
We approach obesity with empathy and understanding, offering programs that promote physical health and
emotional well-being, encouraging a journey towards a healthier, more active lifestyle.
Mental illness can be a heavy burden to carry alone. Our programs provide a supportive community and therapeutic activities
designed to bring light and hope to those suffering from severe mental health challenges. In every interaction, we strive to be a beacon of
hope and positive change. At 2 Walk on Water, everyone is welcome, everyone is valued, and everyone has
the potential for transformation. Join us in creating waves of change, one life at a time.
